IonEarth provides reliable Global Position Tracking for extreme racing events and situational awareness systems for asset tracking. We have tracked some of the world’s most prestigious racing events including The Alaskan Iditarod Sled Dog Race and the S.C.O.R.E. Baja 1000 Off-Road Race.
IonEarth was created as an off-shoot of Microline Technology Corporation. Microline’s down-hole oil pipeline products track and detect pipeline routes and structural deficiencies. Microline’s custom hardware transitioned easily to race position tracking and global asset tracking. Our partnership with Iridium Satellites allows us to provide reliable mobile tracking anywhere on the earth.
What sets IonEarth apart from other tracking providers, is the ruggedness and reliability of the hardware we use to track races and assets, combined with Iridium’s truly global satellite constellation. Our Satellite Radio Transceiver (SRT) Units have the capability of operating at -95F and +140F. Before they are put into service, the SRTs are put into a specialized temperature test chamber, where they are temperature and pressure tested.
IonEarth is a growing company as we plan to keep adding more extreme races to our tracking lineup, as well as some other exciting markets such as asset tracking and personal adventure tracking. If you have a need for truly global position tracking, please contact us.
